As well as having provided support to family members with Autism Spectrum Conditions, Liz worked in education as a Maths teacher, and later Head of Maths, for over 16 years. Her original degree was in Maths and Management Studies, and since leaving teaching 4 years ago, she has gone on to study for a certificate in Charity Management, achieving a distinction. She is currently CEO of Red2Green.

She is passionate about seeing individuals for their unique qualities, and creating an accessible working and learning environment for all. In her work at Red2Green, she has spearheaded a number of initiatives to make Red2Green accessible to all and a Disability Confident Committed employer.

Her career has included Publisher, Domestic Bursar at Clare Hall, Cambridge, and Head of Operations at Kettle’s Yard which included managing capital building projects, professionalising and restructuring operations and developing a commercial arm.

After leaving Kettle’s Yard she worked as a consultant, supporting  other organisations who were either in transition, or by undertaking special projects, until she took up the role of Chief Executive at Rowan Humberstone in early 2022.

Claire joined Papworth Trust in 2010 as a Senior Support Worker, later changing to the role of Service Supervisor then the Registered Manager in the Ipswich area for 6 years achieving an Outstanding with CQC. Claire now holds position of Business Development Manager, working with local authorities and operational teams to improve the offer to disabled people. Prior to joining the Trust, Claire worked with people with disabilities in a number of roles such as teaching swimming, pastoral care in an EBD school and working with Suffolk Family Carers.
